The Classroom

    At Southside Christian School, learning happens inside and outside the classroom. Students are given meaningful opportunities to explore their God-given gifts—whether through the arts, athletics, community service, or leadership. These experiences enrich academic learning while also shaping character, cultivating belonging, and preparing students for a life of faith and service.

    Students can explore their interests through a variety of enrichment opportunities, including:

    Creativity through writing, design, and photography

    Elementary Traditions :

    Joyful community events like Grandparents Day, Veterans Day programs, and holiday celebrations

    Learning Through Service

    Faith in action begins early at SCS. Middle school students complete at least 10 service hours per year, while high school students complete at least 20. Service projects include partnerships with local ministries—like the Raleigh Food Bank, iChoose Pregnancy Center, and area nursing homes—as well as opportunities for international mission trips. These experiences help students live out their faith with compassion and purpose.

    Building Warriors on and off the Field

    At SCS, athletics are more than competition—they are an extension of our mission to develop Christ-like character in every student. Coaches mentor athletes both on and off the field, guiding them to grow in discipline, teamwork, and perseverance while modeling spiritual integrity. Through practices, games, and team fellowship, students not only strengthen their bodies but also learn what it means to glorify God in all they do.
